Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the 2020 Alabama State Shoot has been rescheduled for 7/16/20 – 7/19/20. This date will coincide with the 2020 Southern Zone shoot being held at Dixie Trap & Gun, so both shoots will be held in conjunction with each other.

Please get your application in for the Fred Jensen Memorial Scholarship. The due date is fast approaching-the deadline is April 10th. We will award the winners at the 2020 Alabama State Shoot. If the 2020 Alabama State Shoot cannot be held due to the current Coronavirus Pandemic, we will mail the money to the recipients.

The Fred Jensen Memorial Scholarship is on the state ATA website under Latest News. Click on alabamatrap.com and it will give you the link to go to. The requirements are on the application. This is a good way for a shooter to continue his/her shooting for the future. It is a $250 scholarship to be given to a male and female shooter to be used for anything pertaining to shooting.

Jefferson County has enacted orders that all non-essential businesses and activities close to the public as of Friday evening.
The NRA and CMP have canceled all sanctioned and registered matches also.
Therefore, MCGC is closed to all organized matches and practices.
The club is still open for individual members to practice on their on and shooters should follow the guidelines the CDC has posted and keep a 6’ distance etc.
I will post here when we have the ok to reopen.
